Introduction
God knows that you need food, water, and shelter to survive.
Remember, God wants you to live in abundance, not just to survive.
God wants you to have purpose, peace, happiness and Joy!
You can get these from God’s Word.
Nehemiah 8: 10: Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Job 8 : 21: He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.
Psalm 30:11 - 12: You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
Proverbs 8: 15: So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.
Isaiah 55: 12: You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Luke 2: 10: But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
1 Peter 1: 8: Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil - this is the gift of God. (Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verses 11 to 13).
