1 Peter 1: 7:
These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Introduction
What is Sterling Faith?
In essence what would my faith be like if it was Sterling Faith!
How would you recognise Sterling Faith?
If your faith was purified, and of a quality far superior to refined silver or gold, what would it be like in “appearance.”?
More Precious Than Sterling Silver!
These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed - a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
: Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Our Faith Refined by God: Malachi 3: 3: He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness. Sterling Faith means that you have had an encounter with God, and this experience with God has resulted in an ongoing, unwavering trust in this Person: God Almighty. God Exists Hebrews 11: 6: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Amen.
