Here are some comments from our Bible champions.

We have been on an exciting bible experience this year studying the book of John. Our journey started in London, then on to Newbold, then on to Leeds, and finally in Athens. Here, our dreams became a reality- as we secured first place at the ultimate level of the competition.

The bible experience has taught us so much! We learnt about the divinity of Jesus Christ  in Chapter 1. We learnt the story of the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine in chapter 2. In chapter 3 we learnt about how Jesus came into the world so that we would know the character of God. In chapter 4 we learnt about Jesus’ conversation with the woman at the well of Sychar.

Chapter 5 gave us a glimpse of Jesus healing a man at the pool of Bethesda. In chapter 6 we learnt of Jesus’ miracles of feeding the five thousand and walking on water. In chapter 7 we learnt about Jesus’ visit to Jerusalem for the feast of Tabernacles and the debate as to whether he is truly the Christ. Chapter 8 taught us that Jesus is the light of the world and that he has come to set us free from sin.

With these seeds of God’s word sown within our hearts,  we will share the message of Jesus  with the world starting right here in our community. We are very grateful to you Welling church for being a part of our faith story.  We want to express our appreciation for your continued support, which has made our faith story a success!

I am sooooo proud of all our children. I hope you all remember this magnificent win. When it gets tough at school, remember that you can do ANYTHING with God’s help. Of course, this would not have been possible without the motivation and dedication of your parents and mentors.
