Introduction
Exponential increase is God’s way of doing things. It is God who brings the increase; we just need to stop being fearful and limiting our spiritual expectations.
Let us do the sums; we humans, think additive: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 4; God is a multiplier: 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 16.
Genesis 26: 12: Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.
Deuteronomy 1: 10: The LORD your God has increased your numbers so that today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky.
Isaiah 51: 2: Look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many.
2 Thessalonians 3: 1: As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honoured, just as it was with you.
Matthew 13: 8: Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Matthew 14: 19 - 21: And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Acts chapter 17: 11 - 12: Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.
Habakkuk 3: 2: LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.
