The Unstoppable Dandelion | Weekly Bible Verses from 1–7 March 2026

Theme: Are you in anyway like a dandelion?

Introduction
The Dandelion can be viewed as a garden weed but if you investigate this plant further you will discover that this
so-called weed has many uses and properties.
In this review I will not be looking at the dandelion’s ecological benefits; nor the fact that it has medicinal properties; nor that most of this weed is edible and can also be used to make tea and beverages.
However, I will be looking at some characteristics of the dandelion that we may benefit from, such as the following:
(i) Resilience.
(ii) Adaptability.
(iii) Deep Tap Root.
(iv) Large amounts of seeds.
(v) Seeds can spread far and near.
(vi) Can thrive in adverse conditions.
(vii) Results in unexpected places.
I hope that your first instinct will not be to destroy your dandelions, the so-called garden weed, in the future!

Sunday

Resilience
2 Corinthians 4: 7 - 10: But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

Monday

Adaptability
Joshua 1: 7: Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Tuesday

Deep Rooted
Colossians 2: 6 - 7: So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Wednesday

Large Amount of Seeds Produced
Malachi 3: 10: Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the LORD Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Thursday

Seeds Can Spread Far
Mark 16: 15: He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Friday

Can Thrive in Adverse Conditions
2 Timothy 4: 2: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction.

Saturday

Results in Unexpected Places
John 6: 9: “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”

Conclusion

Hope and Wishes: Blowing a dandelion seed head is a universal lighthearted and hopeful act; may we take delight and find the means of spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Salvation far and wide.
