‘Staying Connected’: Bible Verses for Week Commencing 25 January 2026.

Theme: Staying Connected.

Introduction
Psalm chapter 139, verses 13 and 14: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Lord God you created us in your image for a purpose; keep us connected to you I pray.

Sunday

Genesis 1: 27: So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Monday

Genesis 28: 12: He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Tuesday

Psalm 42: 1- 2: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Wednesday

Zechariah 8: 17: Do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the LORD.

Thursday

Mark 6: 33 - 34: But many who saw them leaving recognised them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

Friday

Romans 8: 15: The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Saturday

James 4: 8: Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double - minded.

Conclusion

Hebrews chapter 4, verses 15 and 16: For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. In conclusion What have you done with the great opportunity that God has given to you to repent and be saved and stay connected to Him, His Son and the Holy Spirit?
