Welling Seventh Day Adventist Church

Daily Bible Verses for week commencing Sunday, 28 July 2024

Title: Imperfect, we are; but, God still love us.
Theme: I want a loving, deep, intimate, unselfish, authentic, walk with God.

Sunday
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbour as yourself. I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:18.

Monday
I love you, O Lord, my strength.
Therefore I will praise you among the nations, O Lord; I will sing praises to your name.
Psalm 18:1, 49.

Tuesday
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
Matthew 22:36-39.

Wednesday
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 13:35.

Thursday
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12.

Friday
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:9-10.

Saturday
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority,  that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4.
Conclusion
Pleasing God, making God happy by loving Him, yourself and your neighbour is not always easy; it may take a lifetime, but, it will be worth it in the end.
We have a future filled with love and hope, because Jesus died for us all.
God is pleased when we do what he wills for us.
Praise God. Amen!
