Theme

Hear that small voice in our stillness and silence.

Sunday

So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

Then the Lord came and stood there, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”

Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

1 Samuel 3:9-10

Monday

Tuesday

If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm;

Though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Psalm 37:23

Wednesday

If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Psalm 66:18-20

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.

Friday

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

John 14:25-26

Conclusion

Listening to God, obedience to God and meditation on his words are so vitally important. When we pray to God we must remember to maintain some silence so that we can hear the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit.
