True Wealth in Wisdom

Good day,

When Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, was pressed by God to ask for anything, he did not choose riches, long life, or fame. Instead, he asked for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

Why?

Because Solomon knew that true wealth is not found in possessions, but in the ability to lead, to communicate, and to care for the people God had entrusted to him. He desired to understand others, how to empathize, how to sympathize, and how to apply wisdom in every situation.

If many of us were asked by God the same question today, our first response would be money, believing it brings happiness. Yet those who appear happy with wealth are often miserable inside. Money is useful, but it cannot bring peace, love, or understanding.

Solomon asked for understanding to make the right decisions for his people. So often we hurt each other when we lack understanding.

Money is good, but the ability to communicate with love, guided by wisdom and understanding, is far greater.

May we, like Solomon, seek God’s wisdom above all else, and in doing so, discover true wealth in Him.

Prayer:

Lord, give me a heart of wisdom and understanding. Teach me to communicate with love, to listen with patience, and to lead with grace. May I value Your wisdom more than riches, and may Christ always be the center of my life. Amen.

Have a Christ centred day.
