Look To God

Good day,
It is easy to step back when there is push back, especially when your faith upsets even those who are supposedly of the faith. But unless your eyes are fixed on Jesus, you will never be at peace. David says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help” Psalm 121. Like him, we must remember that our help can only come from God. Yes, it may come through finite human means, but it is God who ultimately provides through these avenues.
In a little while, the world will end. The Bible explains it, and even those so-called men of science who believe something can come from nothing, who believe the universe and reality exist without a Creator, have unknowingly agreed with Scripture, though without giving it credit. And yet, it will not be because of climate change, another world war, or an asteroid crashing into the earth. The Bible makes it clear, it will be because of sin.
Before you disagree, here is a quick study:
What is sin? 1 John 3:4
Who has sinned? Romans 3:23
What is the result of sin? Romans 6:23
What/Who is Love? John 3:16; 1 John 4:7–8
You can fool man, but not God. Ecclesiastes 12:13–14; Revelation 22:12
If you’ve reached this far in this sobering text, I leave you with this promising thought:
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Have a Christ-centred day.
