Guard Your Heart
Scripture:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
— Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Reflection:
Your heart is the control center of your life. Just like the sea cannot pollute itself, your heart does not naturally become toxic — it happens when we allow harmful influences in.
Words, images, conversations, and even the people we surround ourselves with can either build us up or tear us down spiritually. This is why God instructs us to guard our hearts above all else.
It’s not about living in fear — it’s about living intentionally. When Jesus is on the throne of your heart, His Spirit helps you recognize what is harmful and what is holy.
A guarded heart is a peaceful heart — because nothing unclean can take root where Christ reigns.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to guard my heart with wisdom. Show me the things I need to avoid, the voices I need to silence, and the thoughts I need to surrender. Fill my heart with Your truth and love so that my life flows with Your peace and purity. Amen.

Action Steps:
1. Evaluate your daily influences — music, shows, conversations — are they honoring God?
2. Set healthy boundaries where needed to protect your heart.
3. Spend time in God’s Word today — even 5 minutes — and let it cleanse your thoughts.
