Easter Reflection: More Than a Story
I still remembered the first time I truly heard the Easter story. I was sitting in Religious Education Class, listening to Mrs. Marks describe the crucifixion of Jesus. She spoke with such passion that it felt like I was standing at the foot of the cross. I could almost feel the nails being driven into Jesus ‘hands and feet. I remembered the mockery of the crowd, the loneliness of Jesus, the weight of His sacrifice — and I began to cry.
That moment stayed with me. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it since.
You see, for many, Easter is about chocolate eggs or bunnies. For others, it’s just a story — something distant, with no impact on life today.
But for me — and for so many others — Easter is deeply personal. It’s about love. Sacrificial love.
“For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world — He came to save it. To save you and me.
This Easter, I invite you to see beyond the tradition and hear the heart of the story. It’s not just history — it’s an invitation.
“I came so that they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” — John 10:10
Will you accept that gift?
