Mark 10: 17 , 18 : As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal like?” Why do you call me good?”, Jesus answered. “No one is good - except God alone.” (Comment: Think about this: God the Father is good; the Son is God, hence the Son is good!)

Theme: God is good!
Introduction
There are no good Christians, not one, in all the Earth!
The best thing that we can do is: be the ‘best’ Christian possible, as outlined by God in his commandments.
Exodus 34:6 : And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
2 Samuel 22: 31, 32 : “As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?”
Psalm 100: 4, 5 : Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Romans 3:10,12 : As it written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
James 1:16, 17 : Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change life shifting shadows.
Galatian 5: 23 - 25 : But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Amen)
The lineage (genealogy) of Jesus Christ includes those with flaws and imperfections (see Matthew chapter 1, for example). This inclusion underscores the gospel message that Jesus came to save sinners and that no one is beyond redeeming. The genealogy of the Messiah rather than presenting a perfect line of “good” people shows a messy and imperfect line of sinners, which is why Christ, the Son of a Perfect Sovereign and LORD of the universe came to redeem all humanity. John, chapter 3: verse 17: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
