THE VEIL IS TORN — THE BELIEVER IS EMPOWERED

Introduction
At the death of Christ on the cross, the curtain (veil) of the Temple was torn from top to bottom. This signified that, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the way into the very presence of God had been opened. Henceforth, every believer has direct access to God through Christ, our one Mediator. We do not need a human priest to stand between us and God, nor is access to God reserved for a particular spiritual hierarchy.
Through Christ, every believer has been called, gifted and empowered to minister. We are equipped to pray, heal, teach, preach, encourage, serve, and demonstrate the love, compassion and empathy of Christ to others. We are not merely spectators in the Kingdom of God; we are participants, called to use the gifts God has given us for His glory and for the blessing of others.

Conclusion

Jesus is our Priestly King and Mediator who has empowered His believers, see, for example, First Peter chapter 4, verses 10 and 11: As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
