A Week of Hallelujahs | Daily Bible Verses & Hymns for week commencing 8 February 2026

Introduction
Hallel-ujah: if you have something to sing about!
So what is your favourite Bible Verse and a corresponding hymn?

The following are but a few examples.

This week's theme

Praise in song.

Sunday

Genesis 1: 1 - 3:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. [Hymn: God Who Spoke In The Beginning].

Monday

Psalm 33: 6:

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. [Hymn: Praise To The Lord].

Tuesday

Psalm 71: 1 - 2:

In you, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. [Hymn: I Am Trusting Thee, Lord Jesus].

Wednesday

Proverbs 8: 17 - 19:

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. With me are riches and honour, enduring wealth and prosperity. My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. [Hymn: Jesus Love Me].

Thursday

Psalm 103: 1:

Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. [Hymn: Praise, My Soul, The King Of Heaven].

Friday

Matthew 26: 41:

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. [Hymn: Christian, Seek Not Repose].

Saturday

John 3:16 - 17:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. [Hymn: How Great Thou Art].

Conclusion

Imagine what our lives would be like if they were, at a very early stage in life, committed to the LORD. Your full potential could be realised, humanly impossible things could become possible! You would have something to praise God for, now and for evermore: Amen and Hallelujah.
