Welling Seventh Day Adventist Church
Sunday
Good morning!
Blessings for the new week. May God preserve and keep you at peace. Especially during these times in which we live. These are times of uncertainty, pain and loss experienced by ourselves, others, our families and our communities.
We need to hold fast to the word of God. God assures us that he will never leave us nor forsake us. Christ said lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world.
So why do we at times feel heartache, sadness and pain? We live in a fallen world. One that is marred by sin and we live within this context. BUT we do not live without hope.
The bible declares
Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day.
Christ came, lived and died to show us what love is. As a result, we never walk alone. We are made complete in him. We are of value and worth.
The bible declares as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. Do we understand how valuable we are?
What are the thoughts we tell ourselves? Are these thoughts helping us to be confident in the world?
We have been bought with a price. Christ sacrificed himself so that we could understand that we can be more than Conquerors through him who loved us.
Do not allow the world to define who you are or who you can become.
Whatever and whoever the Giants are in our lives, they fall at the foot of the cross.
We walk by faith, in what God has accomplished and promised. As a result we hold fast to this conviction:
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
