Still Waters

Featured image

“He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”  Psalm 23:2–3 (NKJV)

There’s something deeply comforting about still waters. They don’t rush. They don’t roar. They simply reflect the sky and invite you to breathe. In the busyness of life, the emails, the meetings, the unexpected news, the weight of caring for others our souls can become like stirred-up waters: restless, cloudy, unsettled. But the Shepherd knows. He doesn’t just command us to rest; He leads us there. Gently. Patiently. Faithfully.

Still waters are not just about peace they’re about restoration. God doesn’t want you to just survive the day; He wants to restore you in it. To refill what’s been poured out. To remind you that you are not just a vessel of service, but a beloved daughter of the King.

So today, pause. Even if just for a moment. Let Him lead you beside still waters. Let Him restore your soul.

Reflection Question:

Where do you feel stirred up or weary today? What would it look like to let God lead you to stillness in that area?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd. When I’m overwhelmed, You don’t push me harder You lead me to peace. Help me to follow You to still waters today. Restore my soul.

Amen.

“With grace in my heart and purpose in my hands, I serve where life begins. Faithfully present, quietly powerful.
