Breaking Free from Addiction

Featured image

Good day,
Addiction in any form can be detrimental to the life of those trapped in its snare. Some smoke because of loneliness, others drink to fill an emotional void, and still others gamble away everything—even to the point of being left without clothes. Addiction has been the silent enemy of many, leaving behind pain, loss, and shame.Even something as essential as food, when taken in excess, can lead to debilitating and life-altering diseases. Yet Jesus offers us the perfect antidote—not only for overeating, but for every kind of addiction. In Luke 4:4, Jesus reminds us:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”This means that when we take in the Word of God regularly—liberally and at the prescribed times, such as early in the morning and before bed—it nourishes our souls. Over time, it brings relief from the cravings, aches, and chains of addiction.

Jesus also promised in John 8:32,
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The Word of God is that truth—and when we let it fill the empty spaces that addiction once occupied, true freedom follows.

Side effects include, but are not limited to:
Constant smiling
Peace in the midst of storms
Kindness toward others
Short, spontaneous bursts of “Hallelujah!”

The instructions reads: take without caution and share liberally!
