There we find the clearest evidence of God’s love and the power of Christ’s blood.
When our lives are filled with seasons of despair, when sorrow and concern for a loved one weigh heavily upon us, and when nothing seems to go the way we expected, it can be difficult to look towards the Cross. Yet it is at the Cross that we see the clearest evidence of our Master’s love and care.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
When the jeers of those who oppose the truth come against us, and the ridicule and scoffing of others threaten to drown out the voice of the Spirit of Truth, let us remember that the Cross reveals the very heart of God. His love is not easily refuted.
At the Cross, we are reminded that there is power in the blood of Jesus.
Would you be free from your burden of sin? There’s power in the blood.
The blood of Christ brings forgiveness, cleansing and freedom from the burden of sin.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:7
The One who walked upon the water is still able to carry us through the storms of life. If we allow Christ to live and reign in our hearts, He can lift us above circumstances that seek to overwhelm us.
He will cause us to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 58:14<
So, take heart. The God who began a good work in you has not abandoned you. He will continue His work until the day when Jesus comes again.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Whatever season you are passing through today, look again to the Cross. There you will find the clearest evidence of Christ’s love, the power of His blood, and the assurance that He is still working in your life.
