A resting Place
Good morning!!
Blessings for the week ahead.
May the lord bless you and keep you. May He cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
The song writer wrote:
There comes to my heart one sweet strain,
A glad and a joyous refrain;
I sing it again and again
Sweet peace, the gift of God’s love.
Peace, peace, sweet peace!
Wonderful gift from above!
O wonderful, wonderful peace!
Sweet peace, the gift of God’s love!
When we accept God’s love we are then enveloped in His peace.
This peace is not determined by our external reality but by our inner conviction that God goes before us. If God is for us… then nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
We experience peace when we understand that all that we are or ever can be is because of God’s love.
But it is so important not to doubt God’s love, purpose and goodness.
Christians before us have been perplexed by life but held on to their faith. We must do the same.
Paul writes,
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Why not destroyed? It’s because God is able to keep us from falling. He says that we should come to him and he will give us rest. He only is able to calm the storms that rage within and around us.
Christ says the peace he gives surpasses that which we can attain.
Let Christ be your resting place and a shelter in the times of storm 🙏
Be encouraged!!
