These days the narrative is often, “Science says this” and “Science says that.” If something cannot be explained by science, it’s considered impossible or attributed to alien technology.

But the Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’” Psalm 14:1. It also says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but fools despise wisdom and instruction” Proverbs 1:7. These two texts explain why so many stumble over the truth, especially the creation of the world.

For example, the explanation of creation by some scientists: at some point there was nothing, something “sparked” and boom the world was created. Yet even the simplest among us would ask, “What caused the spark?” It’s impossible for the spark to happen unless someone or something caused it.

Those who believe in God as the Creator of heaven and earth are far wiser than the scientists and “wise men” of this world.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

God has spoken. We believe it, and it is enough.
