Good day,
Have you ever tried counting your blessings and naming them one by one? It’s hard, isn’t it? When we place under the microscope what God has done for us, it’s so vast that we sometimes don’t even know where to start.
Now, not that you or I or even Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived could actually count or name all of our blessings. But here’s a thought: start with the blessing of simply breathing. Then think of one of the recent headlines or news stories about someone’s passing, and see just how great the blessing of life truly is.
Be still for a moment, your fingers move, don’t they? 😳 That’s another blessing often overlooked! We breathe, we move, we remember, we feel, we walk, we touch, we talk, we laugh. As you start to count blessings you begin to run out of fingers and there are still so many blessings left uncounted.
What about this beautiful new day, filled with so many promises and flavored with the hope of happiness to come? Jesus says, “I will come again.” Praise the Lord! He also says He makes all things new, hallelujah!
So today, while we consider all the problems that surround or even seem to envelop us, let’s remember: If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
If God is for us, then we are sitting pretty.
Have a Christ-centred day!
