Acknowledge Your Birthright: Knowing Who You Are in Christ

October 6, 2026

Before you do anything else today, stop and remember this: you woke up because God gave you another day.

While you slept, dangers came and went that you may never know about. Yet here you are alive, breathing, and given another opportunity to live, love, serve, and glorify God.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8
Every now and then, we need to stop and take stock not only of where we are and where we have been, but of who we are, whose we are, and who is truly in command.
In those quiet moments, the Holy Spirit gently reminds us that God is still in control. Whether we are learning to listen, learning to trust, or simply praying, Lord, I believe; show me a glimpse of Your glory. He continues to draw us closer to Himself.
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
Proverbs 16:9
We have been bought with a price. We belong to God.
And when we truly understand that we are children of the King, the King of the entire universe, our perspective changes. Each new day becomes another opportunity to give Him glory.
So today, pause and remember:
Who you are.
Whose you are.
Who is in command.

Let your words, choices, attitude, and actions reflect the One who has given you life and called you His own.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9
Acknowledge your birthright.
Give glory to the King.
Live today knowing whose you are.

Have a Christ centred day.
