Welling Seventh Day Adventist Church

Daily Bible Verses for week commencing 9 June 2024.

Introduction

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12.

Once the sun goes down, the day is forever set; forever gone!

I pray that we will all come into conformity with the will of God and start living eternity now.

Theme

Eternity now, or never; you can’t wait!

Sunday

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

I know that everything God does will endure for ever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.

Ecclesiastes 3:11,14.

Monday

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11.

Tuesday

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

John 5:24.

Wednesday

Do not be deceived: God  cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Galatians 6:7-8.

Thursday

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Romans 6:23.

Friday

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

I Timothy 1:15,16.

Saturday

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

1Timpothy 6:12.

Conclusion

As we live in God, our love of God grows more perfect. Hence, we will not be afraid now and on the ‘day of judgement’, but we will be able to face Him with confidence because we want to be like Christ here and now in this life/world.
