Introduction
Ministering spirits (angels) are sent by God to: guide, comfort, protect and, instruct us.
Theme
Ministering Angels are sent by God.
Sunday
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn – both men and animals – and I will bring judgement on all gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
Exodus 12:12-13.
Monday
Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.
So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them.”
The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he travelled for forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
1 Kings 19:1-2, 7-8.
Tuesday
When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked.
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
2 Kings 6:15-16.
Wednesday
If you make the Most High your dwelling – even the Lord, who is my refuge – then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
Psalms 91:9-12.
Thursday
Daniel answered, “O king, live for ever!
My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king.”
Daniel 6:21-22.
Friday
Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
Matthew 4:11.
Saturday
So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
Hebrews 1:4.
Conclusion
(NB: Regardless of how you quantify the total heavenly host, 2/3 is greater than 1/3) and the Victorious Commander of the 2/3 of angels in heaven is our Captain, The Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.
