Title: The Son, a Word from God.
Theme: God has expressed His love for us in so many different ways in both Ancient (Old) and New Testaments.
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah, and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
Genesis 22:1-3, 4.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psalm 2:7.
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the gentiles.
Isaiah 42:1.
And Jesus, when he was baptised, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove upon him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 3:16-17.
While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luke 9:34-35.
As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children.
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32.
Conclusion
God, the Father, is well pleased with the work of His beloved Son, to glorify His Father and save humanity.
