Sunday
Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted. The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.
Exodus 15:1.
Monday
When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, and the Levites (sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their places to praise the Lord, as prescribed by David king of Israel. With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord:
“ He is good; His love to Israel endures for ever.”
And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
Ezra 3:10-11.
Tuesday
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:16-17.
Wednesday
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
James 5:13.
Thursday
“I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Matthew 26:29-30.
Friday
So that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written:
“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to your name.”
Romans 15:9.
Saturday
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise.
Revelation 5:11.
Conclusion
God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there morning – the sixth day.
Genesis 1:31.
God’s creation, although fallen, is essentially good. God showed His continued commitment to His created beings by dying to redeem us!
Let us live in the light; continually singing praises to His name; that is never overcome, although the darkness of the background is self-evident.
